Proposals for arms of Swedish Municipalites

Some proposals for Arms of Swedish Municipalities that was not adopted.
Tomelilla proposal by Jan Ranecke 1954. The Wild Boar to symbolise the Pig Butchery situated in Tomelilla. At that time there was no Wild Boars in the Area, but today it is. This proposal was rejected as was proposals in the 1960ies from the State Archives including symbols form the Arms of the Rosenkrantz Family and a Railway sign. Tomelilla finaly got Arms only in 2002: Gules a flying Kite Argent.
Vallentuna proposal from the State Heraldic Authority 1949. This was to symbolise that Vallentuna is one of the most Runestone rich areas in Sweden. In 1952 another Arms was adopted instead: Parted per fess Argent an Eagle displayed Gules and Vert between two six-pointed Stars an Broad-Axe all Or.
