Some Lutheran Church heraldry

Following on from the recent discussion on Roman Catholic (and Anglican) heraldry in southern Africa, here is some Evangelical Lutheran Church heraldry from the same region.
These were the arms of Rt Rev Helge Fosseus, who was Bishop of the South-Eastern Diocese in the 1960s and early '70s. The trimount is said to represent the Oscarberg mountain in Natal, and the cross to represent the four synods which amalgamated to form the regions.
The arms of Rt Rev Jeremiah Magagula, who was Bishop of the Eastern Diocese about twenty years ago. The diocesan arms are somewhat similar to South-Eastern's, with the emblem of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Southern Africa in place of the cross.
