On 20 April 2014 the Dioceses of Bradford, Leeds, Ripon and Wakefield in the Church of England was united to form the Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales with seat in Leeds and co-cathedrals in the former diocesean towns. The College of Arms granted Armorial Bearings to the new Diocese on 27 June 2014. It incorporates the White Rose of York for the location and a Chi Rho monogram for the Christian Faith.

Simple yet elegant - very much in a Yorkshire attitude of no-nonsense.

The thing I find amazing is that it only took the College 2 months and 8 days to design and grant!
