Hello all,
The CHA continues to update its Armorial Register with recent grants in a timely manner. There are many interesting details on several of them, as we have gotten used to from the innovative Canadian heraldic style.

One that stood out for me in the 2023 batch is for the 'Superior Technology School' (translated from French) in Montréal, Quebec. The arms feature a new heraldic 'monster' termed an 'Hiranha' or a Swallow-Piranha (Swallow termed Hirondelle in French).

Thanks for posting this, Isaac. We're doing well this year when it comes to new heraldic monsters : first the 'Soleao', announced on IHD, and now the 'Hiranha'.
I like the new Traptow arms in the register, inspired by Art Deco architecture.

Excuse my ignorance Arthur, BUT, what is IHD - as in your first post -
"We're doing well this year when it comes to new heraldic monsters : first the 'Soleao', announced on IHD, and now the 'Hiranha'.".

Sorry, Iain. IHD stands for International Heraldry Day.
