June 4 marks 25 years since Her Majesty signed the letters patent transferring her heraldic authority and prerogative to the Governor General of Canada, thus indirectly authorizing the creation of the Canadian Heraldic Authority. Say what you will about some of the designs produced, but I'm sure we can all agree that the CHA has been remarkably successful in its youth.
In 2004, then-Chief Herald Robert Watt wrote an essay for the Monarchist League of Canada describing some of the Authority's early trials, tribulations, and triumphs. http://www.monarchist.ca/sites/default/ ... /8/137.pdf
