I think that has been done rather cleverly. They could have ended up with some sort of cross/saltire impalement. But instead they have something a bit unique.

I really like it. Instead of trying to heavy-hand some sort of marshalling, they opted for a new "composite" design.

Any idea why Eijsden simplified their red roses into torteaux? Roses would have been fine in the new design.

How would you blazon the new quartered cross, with its both raguly and indented lines? Is "a cross quarterly raguly Gules and indented Or" an option?

I think this cross is blazoned:
Quarterly,
1 and 4, Argent a quarter of a cross raguly Gules
2 and 3, Sable a quarter of a cross indented Or

The torteaux are more apropirate for these arms because they are from the arms of the family van Gronsveld that were the local lords. It can be that the roses in the older arms should have been torteaux but that a mistake was made.

Torsten is correct about the blason.
