Bulgarian Civic Heraldry.

The Civic Heraldry of Bulgaria is in a development phase and the major part of Bulgarian Municpalities have semi-heraldic Insignia. But some have regular Arms:

We can only pray that poor old Sofia is granted "proper" arms very soon. Those she is saddled with at present are truly awful. The third quarter alone is an indescribable mess.

Yes I agree the Sofia arms could have been better. Now they represent in the enschuteon Bulgaria (but why the field i purple beats me the Bulgarian Arms have a Field Gules), in the first quarter St Sophia, in the second the Basilica of St Sophia,in thiurd the mount Vitosha, and in the fourth a pavilion symbolising the mineral springs in the Area.
