Canadian royal family banners

Postby Arthur Radburn » 22 Sep 2014, 21:33

The Queen of Canada has had a personal banner since 1962. Over the past three years, Her Canadian Majesty has approved banners for other members of the royal family, which have been registered at the CHA. Put together, they make an interesting display :

Banners of the Canadian arms, differenced with British royal labels and ciphers. The Queen's cipher is surrounded by a garland of roses and leaves, while the others have maple leaves.

They're very pretty, but the roundel with the royal initial is as superfluous today as it was in 1962.

Almost a complete aside, did I ever share here the vertical banner of the Canadian arms that I drew in the style of Haida Indian art?

Joe, you should consider selling prints of that one.
