Some fiery heraldry (South Africa)

I found these when I was looking through my files the other day, and thought I'd post them. They were designed by the Bureau of Heraldry in the 1980s.
South African Fire Services Board (formerly 'Fire Brigade Board') (1989) : Azure, two fireman's axes in saltire surmounted by a fireman's helmet Or; on a chief enarched Gules, flames issuant Or.
The crest is : A demi-lion issuant Azure, armed and langued Gules, holding a fireman's axe Or.
The demi-lion indicates that the Board is a statutory body.
South African Fire Services Institute (1983) : Per fess enarched Azure and Gules, a fess enarched rayonne to base between in chief a fire-dragon, Argent, and in base a fountain.
The crest is : In front of two fireman's axes in saltire, a fireman's helmet proper
