While I realise that there is an English word "discontinuous", I strongly suspect that the Spanish word "discontinua" as used in "Unidad de Servicios de Base Discontinua" should not be translated as "Discontinuous Base Services Unit" but "Detached Base Services Unit" or possibly "independent Base Services Unit".
