An amazing collection Marcus. Are they from a book? Were the arms really used, if so how - street signs?

They can bee seen in the St. Karl Borromäus Church of the Am Wienerwald Old People's Home. For which Stöhl designed them. I'am not sure how frequent the where used ellswhere

I take it these are trade associations or guilds, similar to the livery companies in London and elsewhere.
I like the Bakers' arms. First time I've seen a pretzel in a coat of arms.

Pretzels are the symbol for bakers in Germany as well. Many bakeries have pretzels on their signs, even if they do not bake them.
A coat of arms without a shield, that is unusual.
