Possibly, but might that not be emblazoned with two tridents palewise side by side, one facing up the other down, and two tridents fesswise, one facing sinister the other dexter? I am not clear just how joined "conjoined" has to be.

Not "Tridentine;" that means having to do with the Italian city of Trent (Trento), as in the Tridentine Mass prescribed by the Council of Trent.

How about "a cross each end terminating in a trident?"

Ditto Joe - why make it more complicated than it has to be? We have more than enough ye olde Norman-French terms to outlast a lifetime, or at least as much of it as even folks here need memorize!

I could not resist the temptation to experiment with the design.

It does look very naval.

If you mean this
Image,
the tridents form a cross parted, and I believe it would be necessary for the blazon to state which way each trident faces.

Arthur: Yes that was approximately what I meant. However were the shafts to be shortened the tridents could be arranged much closer together - shaft to shaft.

Mark: I do like your emblazonment, but I have to say I might have mistaken the tridents for toasting-forks. But then they are very similar in form except for their size.

Whether tridents or toasting forks - I like your emblazonment, Mark.
