We discussed the Bank of Uganda's arms a couple of years ago, so there's no need to repeat them here.

There must be many more examples, so if you have any, please feel free to add them to this thread.

Ah, the good old "chips and peas" .

I do a talk on the arms of the banks that were the predecessors of Martin's Bank. I always hoped that when I became old enough to open a current account it would be with "Martins" Bank and I could have "my" cheque book (for reasons which I hope will be obvious) however, it was not to be. No sooner had I reached 18 than they were swallowed up by Barclays!

It's interesting that the Bank of Scotland's arms have a peer's helmet, and the British Linen Bank's arms a baronet's/knight's helmet. Not something that's done south of the border.

Note the unusual mantling or plume and knight's helm.

Mellon National Bank used to use the arms employed by the Mellon family: Quarterly 1st & 4th Argent a heron Sable; 2nd and 3rd Argent on a chevron Azure between three dexter arms in armor fesswise embowed proper three mullets of six points Argent. It's cast into the bronze plates on the bank's old main building in Pittsburgh, but no longer used, as far as I can tell, by the present company, BNY Mellon. Can't find an emblazonment, unfortunately.
