Among other things, today, 1 March, is International Civil Defence Day. So, some heraldry on this theme :


Moldova : Civil Protection and Special Situations Service.


Norway : Civil Defence.


Russia : Ministry of Emergency Situations ('Emercom').

There don't seem to be many civil defence-related coats of arms around. Does anyone know of any others?

Searched and found the old cap badge of the IDF civil defense units (in use until about '92), which included a shield, though technically a badge. Similar to the Norwegian example.
