The late (1st) Duke of Edinburgh was a knight of several high orders of chivalry. Photos of some of his armorial stall plates have been published in recent weeks, and it's interesting to see the different ways in which his arms were depicted :
England : Knight of the Order of the Garter (1947)
Scotland : Knight of the Order of the Thistle (1952)
Sweden : Knight of the Order of the Seraphim (1954).

Re: Duke of Edinburgh's stall plates
Prince Philip wasn't in fact the 1st Duke of Edinburgh (says the Chief Pedant ). 1st Duke of the third creation, yes, but 4th Duke: Prince Frederick (1726), Prince George (1751), Prince Alfred (1866), Prince Philip (1947).
