No one I know of (including myself) has been able to reach him, or at least not to get a response.

I tried to contact him through every means that I could think of - email, multiple forums PM, facebook, google+, snail mail - none of them produced a response.

No, this is not the case. His facebook and google+ are updated rather regularly.

i am pleased to hear it, though mystified as to why so many seem to have insurmountable problems in contacting him.

Perhaps you could provide links to his Facebook and google+ if this is possible.

I think (based on past attempts by a number of people to reach out) that he simply does not wish to be reached on this subject. It seems to me that everyone should just accept that.

I recently contacted Michael to inquire about the future of the USHR and even offered to assist him in the endeavor. His response was a polite thanks and a short statement that the registry may reappear soon. It is my opinion that he has probably been a bit burnt-out with the registry and needed a break. Hopefully we will see it back up again soon.
