Having a regular content structure will make it much easier to produce a newsletter, e.g.
- news or editorial comment from the Board
- articles from members
- regular columns on particular topics
- occasional themed newsletters, e.g. church heraldry or civic heraldry or an historic anniversary.

A society newsletter is only as good as the members make it, though. The editor can't be expected to write every single issue, and members need to provide a steady flow of material. Perhaps quarterly rather than monthly publication might be an idea.

Is there an article submission process?

I suggest that you send proposed material to Chas Charles-Dunne by PM. Please don't publish it here - the element of surprise will be lost!

May I suggest a subscription software that allows you to send out newsletters and other correspondence through adding yourself to a list. This could encourage non members of the IAAH to subscribe to the newsletter and perhaps join as members.

This one may be of interest https://www.phplist.com/

My suggestions for the name of the newsletter would be "The Escutcheon" or "Visitations".

Great work on the two published so far!

I like The Escutcheon. However, given the Association's arms... What about "The Escutcheon Or" :D
Be well,
