A transformer would present several difficulties - which one, and in which form?

Re: 21st Century Supporters
As a South African I find the word Trekkers quite inappropriate when applied to Star Trek, since in this country “Trekker” usually indicates someone who took part in the 1836-37 Great Trek from the Cape Colony into the interior, or occasionally a Trekboer, the transhumant wagon riders who preceded them, trekking around the Cape or occasionally across the Orange River.
It is also used of the Thirstland Trekkers, groups that crossed what is now Botswana (the land of thirst) from the Zuid Afrikaansche Republiek (Transvaal) to reach Angola.
So for us the word for Star Trek fans is quite definitely Trekkies.
I wonder how soon someone will adopt Obi Wan Kenobi or Yoda as a supporter?

I've as always heard Trekkies here in California, never Trekkers except occasionally online. I don't consider myself to be a Trekkie - no attempt or interest in speaking Klingon, no funny costumes (though I did appreciate the cheerleader skirts on the original series and the spandex thereafter!), never attended or cared about the various dress-up "cons" - but I did watch the various Startrek whatsis and spinoffs from the start; and as noted it was Trekkies for the wannabes, never Trekkers.
