Thought I'd put everything together and see how it looks. Maybe this will turn into a bookplate :)

Impressive. I am glad that you stuck with the original line of partition.

Impressive indeed. Given that you have two badges, you could perhaps have an alternative banner with badge 1 between badge 2 (or vice versa) or one with badge 1, crest and badge 2. Such a lot of choices.

Very nice display!

I personally prefer your standard "as is" - badge #2 is by far the stronger of the two -- simpler; clearer visual contrast; and reflects the core theme of your crest.

Both badges are nicely unique with the thorny border. #1 is a nice concept, reflecting the three elements of the shield design; but in small scale or at any great distance, the stacked bee & rose aren't as visually distinct as the squared knot design (which I'm sure has a proper name that I'm forgetting) from the crest.

If you do decide to include both badges on your standard as Chris suggests, IMO 2-1-2 would work best; but as with all of this post, that's just my opinion.

Thank you!
And yes, I prefer a single badge on the banner. I like bees but not a swarm :)

The cross is an angular Bowen knot bendwise.
