I am extremely pleased to share a scan of my arms done by Sunil Saigal. I have not yet received the artwork and expect, as usual, it will prove more magnificent than this scan. Mr. Saigal is a professed amateur whose work I came across on facebook - although he does not take commissions, he very generously agreed to do my arms for his own enjoyment. I am most grateful for his kind generosity. The achievement is painted in gouache on Fabriano 100 % cotton mould-made water color paper and is sized A4.

Very impressive. From a traditionalist viewpoint the crest is considerably over-scale, but every heraldic artist may make of an achievement what he will. Mr Saigal brings to heraldic artistry some of the exuberance of Indian art.

Well, we all know how traditionalist I can be...

I generally give artists more or less complete license to do as they will. Provided the emblazon is according to the blazon - and I must say, I've not been disappointed yet! After all, why approach an artist if not because of an appreciation for works he's already done?

I'm quite enthused about seeing it "for real" - which should be within the week... I hope, I hope...

Very nice all round. Of course, I am a fan of asymmetric mantling.

It is very well done, the only drawback to the large dragon, is that it draws most of the attention, and that a casual viewer might not notice and appreciate the other fine details.
