Augmentations granted during and after the English Civil War

I was going to start a thread about English augmentations of honour, but find that the (English) Heraldry Society has a page with an article from their "Coat of Arms" publication dated 1960 which not only says it all (as far as the Carolingian period is concerned at least) and with lots of illustrations, but was penned by a real expert - C W Scott-Giles.

A good article, but only covers a short time. What about augmentations in later periods or kingdoms? or How and when they went out of style?
