"Fidelis ad Terram" possibly, "Fidelis ad Heraldicam" certainly not. Innes of Learney must have been smoking wacky-baccy.

The design obviously signifies that the Federation is (are?) a very busy group !

I can't get over azure and bleu celeste. As for all the junk on the saltire ....

Re: Scottish Landowners' Federation
Mr Green, I think the colour is green.
The blazon is: Per saltire Azure and Vert, on a saltire Argent: between in chief a tower of the Third, port and window Gules; in base a salmon naiant also of the Third, and in the flanks dexter a tree eradicated of eight leaves, sinister a garb both Or: a Highland bull's head Proper, horned of the Fourth, between two Highland rams' heads respectant Sable, horned of the Fifth in chief, and two martlets, tails expanded, respectant of the Sixth in base of the saltire.
(Vol XLV Fol 126)

I think the colour is green.
That makes much more sense. But, as depicted, it definitely looks more like bleu celeste than vert.

While the green is rather pale, it does not look like bleu celeste to me.
Incidentally I rather like the remark about wacky-baccy!

The way it is emblazoned doesn't help reduce the busyness. I have never seen martlets drawn with that much detail before, and all the charges are squeezed on the saltire.

Indeed — the martlets look more like fancy pigeons. But then the charges between the saltire arms are also somewhat squeezed.
