It might give me some personal gratification, but I could also reckon on being labelled pretentious. In Sweden, people of high status always used to be called by their title and name. Thus: "Direktör Svensson" rather than merely "Herr Svensson".

It has just reminded me that I have a photo of the Arms of Alexander BRODIE OF BRODIE Lord Lyon, 1727 in my Brodie Armorial. The Arms are on Brodie Castle.
