I do like the proposed shield, but, am not quite so keen on the crest.

I tend agree with Steven that a smaller globe would be better.

Martin, what position of helmet do you expect to use?

If it is facing to the front, then, the crest is not really suitable - sitting across the helmet. If it is facing to the dexter, then, the crest is more suitable, but, when viewed from the front would show the the lion's head turned to the sinister and the whole of the lion's body would be hidden by the globe.

May I suggest the the globe be made smaller and the lion's head turned to face forward over the globe.

Iain, the Helm will be a Sallet and forward facing. As for the orientation of the crest, it would be symbolic rather than one that would be worn on an actual helm. This idea of the crest facing the same way as the helm is for sure open for debate but historically it didn't seem to matter. See the royal arms for example -

Lyon and ourselves have now agreed the following blazon for the arms of The Armorial Register Ltd. which are as depicted previously.

Arms: Azure, within an orle of chains Or linking 8escutcheons Argent an open book proper fore-edges and binding Or.

Crest: A lion salient guardant Or forelegs resting on a terrestrial globe Proper.

Motto: Fulfilment by Achievement.

Next step paying the exchequer fees and obtaining the grant....quick isnt it?

I am thrilled to report that the draft wording for the patent has been approved and the Exchequer fees have been paid in full today :D :D
