Mantling: Sable doubled Or.

Motto: Risis Conscio (Conscious Laughter)

I doubt whether the motto is correct Latin, but am too tired with trying to sort out a motto in the Armorial Register to care.

Chris, I appreciate you trying to sort out the motto for the armiger on the Armorial Register, I will pass on your suggestions to him.

I am sure there are errors on Latin motto's all over the place and my knowledge of Latin is grim hence why my own is in English. Some would say however that being a Scot, that's grim as well. :lol:

On further research Risus Conscio appears to be a mixture of nominative and ablative. If it were all nominative it should be Risus Conscius. If it were all ablative (with conscious laughter) it should be Risu Conscio.

I wish we had a real Latin scholar. My Latin studies stopped dead in 1965.

Latin is often Greek to me; but the design and artwork are very good!
