And the patents are prepared by the Crown Office, not the College.

Mark did say on FB that he had to go to the Palace of Westminster to collect it.

...the pendant seal is an option available at the recipient's discretion.


For Officers of the College of Arms apparently so, sadly not for Officers of HM Diplomatic Service.

The latest news from the College is that John Allen-Petrie has been promoted from Rouge Croix Pursuivant to Windsor Herald (which had been vacant for about two years). This means that Adam Tuck, Rouge Dragon, is now the most senior pursuivant at the College, after barely a month in office.

The previous Windsor Herald, William Hunt, had to retire at 70 but now is working as an assistant to John Petrie who had been his assistant.

I keep hearing a Star Wars quote "The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master".
